Renuvion Skin Tightening

About the Treatment

What is it?

Renuvion is a minimally invasive skin tightening procedure that uses a combination of radiofrequency energy and helium plasma to tighten loose skin and improve its texture.

Who is a good candidate?

It is important to note, however, that Renuvion is not a weight loss procedure and is best suited for individuals who are close to their ideal weight but have loose or sagging skin that they would like to tighten and improve.

Why should I do the procedure? What are the benefits?

  • Skin Tightening: Effectively tightens loose or sagging skin.

  • Collagen Stimulation: Stimulates collagen production for improved elasticity.

  • Minimally Invasive: Less scarring and quicker recovery compared to surgery.

  • Precision and Control: Delivers energy precisely to the treatment area.

  • Versatile: Applicable to various body areas.

  • Combines Technologies: Utilizes radiofrequency and helium plasma for unique results.

  • Complements Body Contouring: Enhances results of procedures like liposuction.

  • Long-Lasting: Many experience sustained improvements in skin tightness.

What should I expect during the procedure?

During the procedure, a small incision is made in the treatment area, and a thin cannula (tube) is inserted beneath the skin. The cannula delivers a precise combination of radiofrequency energy and helium plasma to the treatment area, which causes the underlying tissues to contract and tighten. This process also stimulates collagen production, which helps to further tighten and firm the skin over time.

Renuvion skin tightening can be used to treat a variety of areas, including the face, neck, arms, abdomen, thighs, and knees. The procedure is typically performed under local anesthesia, and most patients can return to their normal activities within a few days after the procedure.

How long is recovery?

The recovery time for Renuvion skin tightening varies depending on the size and location of the treatment area. However, most patients can expect to experience some swelling, bruising, and discomfort in the treated area for the first few days after the procedure.

It is recommended that patients wear a compression garment for several days following the procedure to help minimize swelling and bruising. Pain medication may also be prescribed to help manage any discomfort.

Most patients are able to return to work and their normal activities within a week after the procedure, but it may take up to several weeks for the swelling and bruising to completely subside. It is important to avoid strenuous exercise or activities for several weeks after the procedure to allow the treated area to fully heal. As with any cosmetic procedure, it is important to follow the post-operative instructions provided by Dr. Wei to ensure a safe and smooth recovery.
